Volunteering

Volunteers are an important and valued part of Hodan and are essential in achieving our aims and objectives in enabling disadvantaged people to be part of the wider society.

Volunteers can be involved in all areas of Hodan’s work:

  • Reception: taking calls, dealing with enquires and/or messages, welcoming service users and visitors etc
  • Office administration work
  • Advice, information, support and advocacy work
  • Befriending through home visits and monthly meetings
  • Organising activities and events
  • Fundraising
  • Joining the Management Committee

Volunteering with Hodan will enable you to:

  • Help to change the lives of disadvantaged people
  • Learn new skills
  • Gain experience and training
  • Develop your CV and obtain references
  • Build your confidence and self-esteem
  • Get positive support, mentoring and constructive feedback
  • Make new friends
