    Hodan is a registered charity and began its services in 2006 to help the Somalis and other BME communities, who are mostly marginalised, isolated and socially excluded, to access local services and integrate with wider society.

    The majority of our trustees is current service users and represents well the need of the service users. This makes the organisation a user led organisation with all the benefits associated with this, such as easily incorporating the views of the service users in project developments.

    Our staff, volunteers and trustees have a wide range of experience, skills and are from different backgrounds and have experience of getting the trust of the service users. This enables us to effectively assess the service users need and work with them to develop suitable outcomes and options for achieving those outcomes.
